I have chosen to retire from my medical career to enable me to focus on the current world issues and help bring solutions to the table.
I was an integrative medical practitioner of some 35 years, known internationally in my field, having been trained in naturopathy, which includes nutrition, herbs and homeopathy, before I completed my medical degree.
I have a particular interest in biochemistry, and graduated with Honours. Since completing medicine, I have done years of further training in Nutritional and Environmental Medicine. I was grandfathered in as a life member of the Australasian College of Nutritional and Environmental Medicine, and then as a life member of the Australasian Society of Lifestyle Medicine.
In the 1990s I was involved in research with the University of Newcastle, initially into the metabolic changes in Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, and then ADHD and Autism, and introduced the biomedical treatment of autism and neurodevelopmental disorders into Australia in 1998 with the first Mind of a Child conference in Sydney. I was also involved in research into the gut microbiotica.
I was a senior lecturer for ACNEM and lectured regularly at functional medicine conferences on these and many other topics.
I have been involved in researching in the area of gut health and the microbiome for over 25 years, in conjunction initially with the University of Newcastle, and then with a Melbourne facility, Bioscreen.
As a prophetic follower of Jesus, I have been given a unique understanding of how our body, soul and spirit interconnect in a harmonious dance to bring forth a lifestyle of divine health.
